My approach

As a GP qualified for more than 25 years and a qualified coach, I offer a different approach to health and wellbeing. I know first-hand how stretched health professionals are—with so little time in each consultation, clinicians often have no choice but to fall back on prescriptive advice, telling you what to do without the space to fully explore your unique circumstances. While this is well-intentioned and done with the best of care, this "one-size-fits-all" method often fails to meet individual needs or lead to lasting change.

My practice is built on providing a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment where your voice is heard. I understand first-hand how the pressures of work can crowd out self-care, and through my own personal experience of managing cancer I've gained a personal appreciation of what it takes to rebuild health and wellbeing. Instead of simply issuing instructions, I work holistically to understand the mental, emotional, and lifestyle factors that shape your health. By combining my medical expertise with a collaborative coaching style, I help you move beyond generic advice to find sustainable, personal solutions that truly work for you.

Testimonials

Eight sessions with Sarah have empowered me to focus on what I truly want to do with each day, and with my life. She creates a safe space for me to open up about how stuck and fragile I was. In my experience, she is empathetic, wise and an intuitive listener. Respect is at the heart of how she works.

Sarah challenges my excuses and self-defeating beliefs with honesty and kindness — and opens the door for new goals — insightful, exciting and realistic goals. She then tracks my progress to encourage me to achieve these goals. My confidence and creativity are back. Sarah's sense of humour has also been a real comfort on this journey.

Sarah is an empathetic and thoughtful coach who creates a safe, supportive space while keeping sessions focused and purposeful. I began coaching feeling somewhat lost and convinced I needed to focus on one specific area of my life, but Sarah quickly recognised that the foundations needed attention first.

I always left our sessions feeling clearer, calmer, and equipped with practical tools I could genuinely use to improve my wellbeing. Having dedicated time to talk things through with someone who listens so carefully was incredibly valuable.

Sarah combines genuine warmth with clear, steady guidance, helping you recognise your strengths and move forward in a realistic way. Her professional background means she quickly understands the bigger picture of your life and gets to the heart of what truly matters.

Exploring my values, priorities, and how to create more space in my life was especially powerful. That understanding brought a real shift in clarity and confidence, and a noticeable and ongoing improvement in my overall wellbeing.

I found Sarah to be very easy going, which made it easy to feel comfortable and open during our sessions. She was naturally inquisitive, helping to draw out key thoughts and reflections, and tailored each session around my current themes and the day-to-day challenges I was facing. This made the coaching particularly practical and valuable.

Working with Sarah has allowed me to find clarity in the direction that I want to move in. Her caring and kind nature combined with her ability to challenge my thoughts has allowed me to find the direction and momentum I need. As a result of Sarah's coaching I have gained so much confidence and learned to challenge my own doubts and thoughts when I start to spiral into overthinking. I couldn't recommend Sarah enough if you are looking for coaching or making a transition in your life. The best support you could get.
